Common questions.

No. Cucumber handles the entire SMS infrastructure. When you sign up, we provision a dedicated US phone number in your area code. Your clients see texts coming from a real local number — no Twilio account required on your end.

We provision a US long-code number tied to your business. It's yours for as long as you're a subscriber. Clients can reply to it, and you'll see those conversations in your two-way SMS inbox. If you cancel, the number is released after a 30-day grace period.

You can add existing clients manually through the check-in flow, or import a CSV. If you backdate appointment records, Cucumber will calculate the correct follow-up timing from there — so a client who visited 20 days ago will receive their reminder on the right day, not from scratch.

Month-to-month only. Cancel any time from your settings — no emails, no calls. Your number and client data are exportable at any point. We don't hold your data hostage.

US only at launch. All phone numbers must be US mobile numbers. Canada is the first expansion on the roadmap. If you're outside the US and interested, you can join the waitlist from the settings page.
